Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are always a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles out there, but there should be a thing that you’ve hooked into, or caught onto? Something which triggered a transformation or perhaps a major healing. So, what was it?”
“Trust,” I said.
Think about your life as it appears to be nowadays in terms of the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who’s my source?” So once we speak about the past stage of the awakening being pure trust, it’s simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world. It’s similar to creating a big house of cards, stacking using one card after the other. Then the good wind comes along and poof, it’s just blown over. It can’t even stand only a little gust of wind. It’s so frail. It’s so temporary. a course in miracles book It’s so transitory; It was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in the rest; those issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It certainly comes down seriously to the essence of who is my buddy? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this one?So you’re asking the question, “If someone dies or appears to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all this is heading would be to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is a hallucination. This really is a full world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn’t reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to construct his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the text between thought and form. His lessons start out with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way up to number 4, “These thoughts don’t mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He’s referring to thoughts. First He’s referring to perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 … perception, perception, perception, perception, perception … and then number 10, “My thoughts don’t mean anything.” You can see he’s wanting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, which is trust.
The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there’s no such thing as time, to take us back to that particular timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to teach us they are all illusions and they are all equally meaningless. That’s the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with your brain to loosen the attachments from the investment in all sorts of things. What type of things would you invest in, nowadays?
This Moment Is Your Miracle brings you tools to reverse all fearful thoughts and beliefs. Using these tools makes it possible to get the complete sense of freedom and peace you’ve always been yearning for.
